| Kent Out of the West Midlands, Kent was the 5th amongst six children. His parents migrated to England from the West Indies and made their home in the suburbs of Birmingham. From his initial years he was an achiever and earned himself a National Championship in boxing by the age of 14. A naturally talented sportsman and performer he excelled in dancing and did walk the ramp for some of the leading men's fashion designers.
Growing up in a Neighborhood that was heavily influenced by the great musicians of the sixties and seventies Kent was exposed to thousands of various sounds and rhythms. At home the influence of his mother a gospel singer and his father an ardent fan of jazz and soul, blues made it a hot bed for Kent to nurture in his own right.
During the late 80's the family moved to Kent where he started to experimenting and developing his musical faculty and before too long he was doing sessions with other musicians in the area.
By the age of 16 he had developed a unique style, which was a fusion of soul, Hip-Hop and Blues. What was a hobby eventually became performance material at local venues.
It was at this point that he realized his passion for music was overwhelming and decided that music was what his career was going to be. He went out to master the Keyboard and guitar his music started to mature and his husky deep voice found its niche. Before long he played his music on the London circuits and Venus throughout Europe and also major festivals with as many as 80,000 people.
His dedication, ambitions and courage to experiment, comes out in all his tracks. Every piece he has composed is a statement of evolving, Improving and developing talent. He has played in Majorca Spain, played at major festivals in Ibiza and performed live in Ibiza's top venues over the summer and recorded with some of Ibiza's top producers. |
