King has a wealth of knowledge of the music industry, as he was a successful artist himself, carving out a singing career that produced 3 albums and 4 TV shows. He was previously Entertainment Controller for Rank Entertainment, overseeing entertainment content and budget for 43 venues.

He progressed to Entertainment Executive for Luminar Leisure (the biggest Leisure Company in the UK) controlling 329 late night venues. After negotiating a sole supplier deal with Luminar, he successfully set up Eminence Leisure in 2002.

As Cheif Executive Officer and majority shareholder of Eminence Leisure, with clients such as Luminar, Disney, First Leisure, Bourne Leisure, English Heritage, Stanley Casinos; record companies such as EMI, BMG, Universal, Polydor, V2, the business now has a circa £20 million turnover.
